If Einstein was a fly fisherman, he would have hailed the F-C Sand Shrimp because of its simplicity. Its so simple that we may be able to tie two or three of these flies during our fly tying session. Craft fur, estaz, and dumbbell eyes make this a deadly redfish, drum, and sheepshead fly.
This fly immitates a small crustacean moving along the substrate. A few twitches on a tailing red or coaxing a finicky sheepshead gets their attention fast. Its tied on a Size 2 hook. The preference would be a Gamakatsu SC-15, but any sturdy salt resistant hook would do.
